Many modern manufacturers sell hand hammered cymbals out of the front door, while they have machines automating the hammering of the cymbals in the back room. Not with Impression Cymbals! The Impression Cymbal Making Process

We have holes in the ground where we melt our secret recipe of copper and tin. This pot fits inside the hole where there is enough room around it for us to fill it with coal. There are also fans under these holes so we can raise the heat up to 1500 degrees C. |

Before pouring the molten metal into the moulds, we have to heat the moulds and put oil and water in it so that the liquid metal can cool down and get hard without sticking to the mould. |

Pouring our secret recipe of melted copper and tin into the mould where it will cool down and harden. This is the first process of the cymbal making. |

These cymbals have been processed in the roller to get them bigger and the bells punched in while still hot. They are now ready to be hand hammered. |
